    Overview

    Plasma Basics Course (PBC) is a summer course that introduces a series of lectures on the basics of plasma physics. This course targets the senior BSc and MSc students interested in Plasma Physics. To follow this course, you need to have the basic knowledge of the following subjects: (1) mechanics, (2) electricity, (3) magnetism, and (3) electrodynamics is preferable. The course comes in four full days distributed between 24 Jan 2026 and 29 Jan 2026. This year, the PBC will take place at the Arab Academy (Port Said).

    • Perturbation theory.

    • Nonlinear Schrödinger equation with ponderomotive force Plasma expansion .

    الكورس كان أكثر من رائع حقيقي. الموضوعات مش هلاقيها متجمعة بالشكل دا في كتاب، حسيت اني باخد خلاصة تعلم أساتذة لسنين في أسبوع، بقدر ما الوقت كان مضغوط والأسبوع كان تقيل إلا إني استمعت لأقصى درجة بالشرح والأسئلة والدخول في التفاصيل بشكل مخليني ممتنة جدا ليكم حقيقي. دكتور وليد ودكتور إبراهيم عندهم قدرة على توصيل أصعب الموضوعات بأقرب الطرق لينا اللهم بارك يا رب، شكرا كتير على مجهودكم معانا طول الأسبوع وشكرا لكل التيم بجد. من الحجات اللي ساعدتنا جدا بردو وجود باقي التيم معانا والتوتوريال اللي بعد المحاضرات كان فارق جدا في فهم كل خطوة بالراحة.

    Eligibility

    • Physics students in 3rd or 4th level.
    • Nuclear Engineering students in 3rd, 4th or 5th level.
    • MSc and PhD student in Plasma Physics or any discipline related to plasma.

    Registration fees & Scholarships

    • 1500 EGP
    • We will offer accommodation and lunch for 20 students, who will be selected to attend the course. students without scholarships will pay 3000 EGP
