Dr. Samir has been an Associate professor in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Port Said University, Egypt, since 2020. He has completed the Ph.D. in Theoretical physics (Plasma Physics) from Port Said University, Egypt, in June 2014. He was a visiting researcher at Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, from June 2014 to February 2015.
Dr. Samir has won some national awards (e.g., the highest citation award from the Ministry of Higher Education in the Arab Republic of Egypt 2012). His research profile includes several topics (i.e., Plasma physics, Nonlinear dynamics and oscillations, Some mathematical problems in Engineering, Applied mathematics, Modeling and simulation, Numerical analysis, Rogue waves and breathers, Soliton collisions and interactions, and Shocks).
Dr. Samir develops several analytical and numerical methods for solving nonlinear problems in plasma physics and optical fiber. He established the Theoretical Physics Research Center at Al-Baha University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in 2017, which has several publications in high-impact journals.
