Brief BiographyAbdAlHalim has been working as a Professor of Plasma Physics in the Faculty of Science, Benha University, since August 2018. He received his Ph.D. from Benha University in 2005. He was a Visiting Scholar in Nuclear Engineering Department, North Carolina State University (USA), for 18 months, between 2008 and 2009. Also, he took a short-term visit (3 months) to Space Propulsion Laboratory, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), in 2014. Professor Abd Al-Halim is a collaborator with teams from the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority since 1998. He is interested in electrothermal launchers, plasma–matter interaction, plasma coaxial accelerators, plasma pinches, MHD mathematical modeling, inertial electrostatic confinement, plasma glow discharge, plasma deposition, and surface modification of polymers.
