Brief Biography
Dr. Kamal M. Ahmed was born in Minya, Egypt, in 1979. He received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Minya University, Minya, in 2001. Then, Kamal passed pre-master courses in electrical engineering, Cairo University, Giza, Egypt, in 2006, the M.Sc. degree from the European Master of Science in Nuclear Fusion and Engineering Physics, Gent University, Ghent, Belgium, Henri PoinΓ§aire University (UHP), Nancy, France, and the Complutense University of Madrid, Madrid, Spain, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree from Benha University, Banha, Egypt, in 2014.
Dr. Kamal has been with the Plasma and Nuclear Fusion Department, Nuclear Research Center, Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority, Cairo, Egypt, since 2005. He holds an STDF-IFE Post-Doctoral Fellowship at CEA-Cadarache, Saint-Paul-lez-Durance, France. His current research interests include high-voltage engineering related to plasma and fusion reactors, and research and development in plasma sources, plasma diagnostics and its applications in different fields such as polymer treatment, biomaterials ' treatment in dentistry, wound healing, PAW, bioactive glass treatment for radiation shielding
